Größe: Die HDD des Notebooks ist in der Regel 2,5 Zoll groß, die SSD hat 2,5 Zoll, mSATA und M.2. M.2 SSD ist in verschiedene Größen unterteilt, wie 2242, 2260, 2280 usw. Normalerweise unterstützen MSI-Notebooks je nach Modell 2,5-Zoll-SATA-HDD, mSATA-SSD, M.2 Typ 2280-SSD.
Slots and cassettes: M.2 SSD have three types of cassettes, B Key, M Key and B+M Key.
B key slot for ‘B’Key card (also known as Socket 2) (SATA)
M key slot in ‘M’Key card (also known as Socket 3) (PCIe x 4)
B+M Key cassettes are available for both cassette slots
